It’s time for another good idea, bad idea (50 points if you can name the TV show that’s from). Good idea: for the first time ever, women are earning more graduate degrees than men.  Bad idea: men, for the most part, are still making more money than women for the same amount of work.

Recently, Grantham University announced the name of their eagle mascot. After reaching out to active students and alumni in a student survey, the final vote was unanimous and Talon made the grand entrance at a recent Town Hall meeting.

Over the years, a lot of research has been done about the benefits of earning a college degree, and many articles have been published about the higher wages and lower risk of unemployment for college graduates.  I have written about this topic several times, but I came across some interesting information about the intrinsic value of a college degree that goes beyond compensation and unemployment rates.
