In a competitive job market, are you finding it difficult to find the right place to begin a job search? Looking for a job can seem overwhelming with so many options: job boards, newspaper classifieds, employment agencies, asking friends/family members for referrals...

The old saying goes, “Ignorance is bliss,” but when it comes to the workplace, a manager who is ignorant to the voodoo dolls with his/her name on them might be taking that saying too literally. After all, employees who are unhappy are more likely to be mentally checked out on the job, which not only leads to a reduction in productivity, but also to a higher turnover rate. Confession time. My internal censor is, more often than not, faulty.
